Nearly naked business people take over London!

Watch what happened when Virgin Books sent a team of nearly naked business people out on to the streets of London during rush hour to inspire commuters on their way to work with a free chapter of Richard Branson’s new book Business Stripped Bare…

Cute. No one better at PR.

When your ready to talk real green sustainable business let me know.

The rest of it, at this point, is a total waste of time, unless you are talking non-profit PR..

Great promo video and shows to everyone that you don’t need a lot of money to get the word out; even if you have it. Originality + sweat equity goes a long way.

    Dear Dr Branson,

May I know how you manage all your postings? Do you answer all personally? Do only answer particular posts?
    Thank you.

  12. Bob - November 18th, 2008

    Hi Joyce

Richard checks in when he can but a few of us are on hand to help him out by answering any questions we can on his behalf.

As you can understand he’s an amazingly busy man and not always near a computer!

We’ll also bring any common threads or questions to his attention when he’s not able to log on himself…

It worked quite well having Richard answer people’s questions by video or phone so hopefully there’ll be more of that as well

    cheers

    Bob

Hi, hope this one gets as far as Richard himself….because we think it might well fly!
Together, some friends and I were discussing Ebay, particularly the latest moves by Ebay to up its fees on sales. We firmly believe they’re now getting extra greedy - making money on items posted, percentage on items sold, PLUS their margin on the PayPal transactions. After some research, seems we’re not alone in thinking Ebay are ripping off their customer base. [We calculate they take approx. 11.5% on value of just the Ebay transactions]. It’s about time there was an option to Ebay’s monopoly……say ‘V-Bay’!! Obviously, if it were to happen, ie a rival setup to Ebay, it would have come from an already trusted, well-funded, innovative and courageous company. I can think of no-one better than Virgin…..linking this new venture to Virgin Broadband/Virgin Money. How about it? Kind regards, Ken.

I’m dying to know who produced the background music to this! I searched for some of the lyrics and haven’t found anything. Who is it?

Great song! What is it and who sings it?

  17. Ovi Demetrian Jr - November 27th, 2008

Hi Richard! I`m studying entrepreneurship on a university in Austria. You are a great mentor and inspiration for me. Is it possible for an Austrian guy like me to make an internship at Virgin. I am interested in almost every area of virgin. Thanx ;-)

Talk about bold business, out to expose the bare facts!

I didn’t watch the video but the idea alone sounds good enough to sell any book to me.

Although in my part of the world (Zimbabwe), do that, and everyone ends up in prison, or worse.

But who cares, it works and thats the point.

You didn’t hear this from me, Ok.

  24. Gerald Banda - December 1st, 2008

OK, just watched the video and i am sure everyone gets arrested and ends up in prison, worse excluded.

Anyway it is a powerful idea, which gets the job done.

I can hear the old no controversy people going like ” Its that Virgin company again.”

I can hear the general men and women on the street going like “Only Virgin would do something like this.”

And then I hear the few people as crazy as I am going like
“Can I arrest those women please. Pretty Please.”

A good idea that says Virgin. My Regards to the people who thought it up. You guys are deep.

  25. Cheryl C. Cigan - December 2nd, 2008

Perfect. Stunningly perfect. It reminds me of a scene from The Thomas Crown Affair. Excellent.

  26. Jeff Ogden - December 5th, 2008

    What a brilliant concept!

Hell, I could write a book called Politics Laid Bare and hire a bunch of scantily clad young men and women to give away the first chapter. Then I’d run for President of the United States! Watch out, Obama!

    Great idea, Richard.

  27. Roseann Higgins - December 7th, 2008

Exactly what I was thinking, Cheryl C. Cigan, in the previous comment! The bolo hat group Pierce Brosnan goes to the museum with to steal the painting Renee Russo wants. The music in that scene was so perfect. I have that poster, signed by the two, but bought as a Christmas gift for me years ago…so who knows if it’s the real McCoy.

Great job on the book promo. Great filming, acting, casting, directing..impressive. That wasn’t easy. Lots of logistics. I gotta get the book, just for that fact.

  28. Sandy Gray - December 18th, 2008

It’s just wonderful to see someone with brains in action.

  29. Sammycat - January 11th, 2009

    Hi Richard,

  30. Sammycat - January 11th, 2009
